Creedence Clearwater Revival sono stati un gruppo rock statunitense, attivo dal 1967 al 1972.
La band era guidata da John Fogerty, chitarrista, cantante (e, in più occasioni, poliedrico strumentista), oltre che principale compositore del gruppo.
Alla chitarra ritmica lo accompagnò fino al dicembre 1970 suo fratello Tom; Stu Cook (bassista) e Doug Clifford (batterista) completavano il quartetto.
Il loro stile musicale, influenzato da country, blues e rock ‘n roll, fu definito swamp rock; tuttavia, per il Sud presente nei loro testi, i Creedence Clearwater Revival furono spesso inquadrati nel sottogenere del Southern rock.
